OVERVIEW
The new high-bay warehouse facilities of DACAR Transport d.o.o. in Kranj were equipped with 81 H LUM luminaires, installed at a height of 12m.
A strong emphasis was made on reducing the lighting power between racks due to the focused optics of H LUM, because it allows utilization of light where it is truly needed.
SOLUTION
H LUM of 60W and 100W with luminaire focus optics ensure the correct light for narrow aisles between racks, and achieves an average brightness of more than 250 lx. In the area of handling surfaces intended for reception and dispatch, 21 H LUM luminaires with a wide-angle beam and power of 100 – 135W were installed, the average illuminance was 350 lx. The project was initially planned with fluorescent lamps (4 x 58W) with a total power of 22,75kW or 6,6 W/sqr.m. The total power of the installed lamps is 8,52 kW on a surface area of 3400 sqr.m or 2,5 W/ sqr.m.
RESULTS
The LED luminaries will save more than €12,000 a year and a return on investment will be achieved in less than three years.
